Get IP 9 onto November 2024 ballots! 
Limit campaign money, make political spenders
name the real money sources in their ads.

​In 2020, Oregon voters (78% to 22%) called on our Legislature to adopt  campaign contributions limits and show voters where political money is really coming from. They  have failed. So We the People must act.
​
INITIATIVE PETITION 9  WILL:
​
​Shine a Light on Dark Money

​LIST the biggest 4 funders in campaign ads
, including dark money sources

REVEAL true original sources behind big campaign spenders and contributors

Get FASTER public disclosure, Big contributions and independent expenditures
​

MORE campaign money source information in printed and online Voters' Pamphlets 

​​​Limit Money into Candidate Campaigns

​Individuals and PACs can give up to:
  • $2,000 for statewide office (Gov, SoS, AG, Treasurer, Labor Commissioner)
  • $1,000 for any other state office
  • $500 for any local government office

For-profit corporations can give nothing

Small Donor Committees, funded only by contributions of $250 or less per year from individuals, can give candidates:

  • $20,000 for statewide office
  • $10,000 for any other state office 
  • $5,000 for any local government office 

No person or group may controlling multiple entities to increase their allowable contributions.

Make Competition More Fair by banning candidates from carrying over money from one election to another.
